SS/Alloy Axial Expansion Joint (DN15–DN12,000)
Single-bellows axial expansion joint absorbing thermal expansion and contraction along the longitudinal pipe axis. The most widely used expansion joint type in steam, process gas, and hot water pipelines. Choose this over the multi-ply SS metallic bellows (prod_e1) for standard duty applications at moderate pressure (up to 16 bar) where cost-effectiveness matters. When exotic alloys, very high pressure (>16 bar), PED certification, or ultra-high cycle fatigue life are required, specify prod_e1 instead.
Application: Steam pipelines, pump connections, heat exchanger inlet/outlet connections, hot water systems in power plants, sugar mills, paper mills, and refineries. Standard first choice for axial movement compensation up to 150 bar G: upgrade to multi-ply metallic bellows (prod_e1) only when exotic alloy, high-cycle fatigue, or strict code certification is mandated.
