Petrochemical & Refineries
Metallic expansion joints, high-temp strainers & precision spares for refineries & petrochemical plants
Industry Overview
Refineries and petrochemical complexes handle hydrocarbons, acids, and aggressive chemicals at extreme temperatures and pressures. Metallic expansion joints, process strainers, and precision turbine spares must withstand thermal cycling, corrosive media, and high-cycle fatigue. Keshav Enterprises manufactures these products to EJMA, ASME, and API standards for the most demanding refinery applications.
Key Applications
- API 614 / 670 compliant filter and monitoring supply
- PTFE-lined expansion joints for chemical process lines
- Hydraulic hose assemblies for control systems
- Lube oil filter element supply for turbocompressors
- Turbine seal and gland packing supply
- Machine alignment for compressor and pump trains
Key Challenges We Solve
Extreme Temperature Cycling
Refinery steam cracking and distillation columns cycle between ambient and 600°C+ service temperatures. Expansion joints must survive millions of flex cycles without fatigue failure.
Corrosive & Hydrogen-Rich Media
H2S, HF, amine solvents, and hydrogen service require Inconel, Hastelloy, or duplex stainless bellows, because standard SS304/316 is insufficient.
ASME & API Code Compliance
Pressure vessels, piping, and bellows in refineries must comply with ASME Sec. VIII and API codes. Third-party inspection and material traceability are mandatory.
FCCU Catalyst Erosion
Fluid Catalytic Cracking Units carry entrained catalyst particles at 700°C+. Expansion joints in regenerator and reactor lines face extreme erosion and thermal shock.
Products We Supply for Petrochemical & Refineries
Thick Wall Heavy-Duty Expansion Joint
Reinforced thick-wall bellows for the extreme service conditions of regenerator-reactor transfer lines: high temperature, high pressure, and heavy mechanical/thermal stress.
- Thick/reinforced wall construction for maximum pressure and stress resistance
- Minimal deformation under extreme pressure and temperature cycles
- Materials: SS 316/321, Duplex, Inconel, Hastelloy options
Axial & Universal Metallic Expansion Joints
Standard process line bellows for absorbing thermal expansion in crude oil, product, and steam piping throughout the refinery complex.
- DN15 to DN12,000 manufacturing range
- SS316L, Inconel, Hastelloy, Duplex SS grades
- ASME Sec. VIII Div. 1 design code
High-Pressure Simplex & Duplex Strainers
In-line strainers on crude oil charge lines, product transfer lines, and compressor suction piping to protect equipment from scale and debris.
- ASME pressure vessel code design
- Perforated plate + mesh basket construction
- PN40 to PN160 pressure classes available
Cryogenic LNG / LPG Expansion Joint
Cryogenic-rated metallic expansion joint for very low-temperature liquefied gas piping: LNG/LPG transfer lines, cryogenic storage terminals, and ship loading headers.
- Engineered for cryogenic duty down to LNG service temperature ranges
- Low-temperature material selection for toughness and fatigue resistance
- Austenitic SS and cryogenic-grade alloy options, full material traceability
Turbine Steam Path Components
Nozzle blocks, diaphragms, and blade carriers for turbine-driven compressor drives, manufactured from alloy steel to OEM profiles.
- CNC machined from certified forgings
- Material: Cr-Mo alloy steel, 17-4PH SS
- Profile verified by 3D CMM measurement
Pressure-Balanced Expansion Joints
Eliminates pressure thrust forces on sensitive equipment nozzles in high-pressure refinery service, protecting compressor and pump flanges.
- Tie-rod eliminated pressure thrust design
- Reduces nozzle loads to near zero
- Available in tied and untied configurations
